About Us
The National 20/20 Education Foundation, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 Non-Profit Organization that provides vision and hearing testing for Students and takes immediate action to correct vision and hearing impairment, including fitting Students with optical and hearing mechanisms (eyewear hearing aids.) Additionally, we provide school-age children whose parents do not have insurance and are not eligible for Medicaid with affordable, subsidized, or free eyewear and hearing aids.
Our Foundation’s operation is served by a phenomenal team that includes a Medical Doctor, an Audiologist licensed in over twenty-six States, Nurse Practitioners, License Opticians, Medical technicians, Ophthalmic Technical, and Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationists. We have established a collaborative approach to corporate-nonprofit partnerships that honors the core competencies of our non-profit organization and corporations. This approach aligns our interests toward one common goal of serving our communities. With shared purpose at the heart of the initiative, our two entities are active program participants, driving unique transformation.
Any low-income, uninsured or under-insured child we have screened and detected a vision or hearing issue is eligible for financial assistance for a free eye exam and/or eyeglasses. For those with hearing impairment, we can provide hearing aids. We also visit schools to screen and inform children on how to protect their vision and hearing by engaging with interactive demonstrations that the child can share with their families. With 85 percent of learning coming through our eyes and ears, education on protecting and preventing vision and hearing loss is an important ongoing message.
